Miles for MacMillian

Today I walked The Cardiff Bay Trail to raise money for MacMillian Cancer Support. It was wet and it was windy but it was worth every rain-soaked mile we walked, because today I walked for my family. For every one of them who's been beaten by cancer, for every one of them who's survived cancer, and for every one of them currently fighting cancer.

Today I also walked for myself.

I haven't said anything yet, because I tend not to worry about things until they happen, but at the moment I'm being tested for Breast Cancer.

I found a lump a few week ago and was referred to the local breast centre just last week where they found two lumps and took three biopsies. Now, they obviously can't promise anything but they've told me they're pretty confident that they're likely only to be
fibroadenomas. Although I won't know for certain until next Friday when I get the results of my biopsy back. Now, like I said, I'm not worrying about anything yet and won't do until I know either way, but I figure getting some positive energies sent my way couldn't possibly hurt my case, right?

My sisters and I always used to joke that it'd be a case of Russain Roulette as to what type of cancer we'd end up getting, because there's just that much of it in our families, but I like to think I'm a bit too young to have to worry about something like this right now.

So yeah. Today I walked for everyone who's ever been affected by cancer in one way or another. I've managed to get some sponcership money from my family, but I'm here to ask if any of my friends would be willing to donate money (no matter how small an amout) to me for MacMillian.

You can donate to me via my paypal, which is:
Or, if you want to send me a donation, PM me and I will send you my address.
Alternatively, if you want to purchase me a [ Charity V-gift ], particularly the "
Breast Cancer Awareness", I will donate £1 on your behalf.

Please, no one feel obliged. I won't be offended either way you choose to go on this.
