Torchwood : COE : Pimpage : A Blip In Time (Jack/Ianto)
Found via thisissirius and omg it's broken me all over again. I'm not usually this fragile over things but Torchwood: Children of Earth has really struck a cord. It was just too brilliant and too devastating and I think it'll take me a helluva while to fully recover from everything that happened.

...though watching fanvids like this probably don't help much at all. Still, it was just too gorgeous not to share with you all. ::passes out hankies::
like Lazarus, hungry for this.: Wouldn't change that for the world.theohsocurlyone on July 14th, 2009 04:30 pm (UTC)
ARGH. Dear Lord, that was absolutely beautiful all the way through.

I think I've reached the stage where I'm not sobbing every time I think about it, or see it (which was what I was like for three days following Ianto's death), but that still cut me up. Gah.

As well as that, though, I love that video for making me more appreciative of what we had between Jack and Ianto in series three. People are complaining about the tragic ending, about writers "lying" to them, but it really was beautiful in parts, even if it ended terribly. That shot in the Hub 2 where they're smiling at each other...gah. Just gorgeous. I'll always love both of them.

(By the way; read your post on loving Children of Earth despite raging emotion, and I completely agree. It was heartbreaking but impossible to hate because it was so good. Good on ya.)

I think after a while you just start to go a bit numb over the whole thing :(

...exactly! Seeing all those "happy moments" in amongst the angst just makes you appreciate what they had all the more. And it does proove that even though we got the tragic ending, there was love between them. <33

(thanks! Even though it completely broke me, there's no way I can bring myself to hate it only any kind of serious lever. It was simply brilliant television and the best series IMO to boot. :) ...if you're interested btw, tw_coe. Just a little place I set up to keep us saner fans away from the crazy!)
