Talking in Your Sleep;
Jack/real!Jack; U-Rated; 160words;
just a weensy drabble-esq thing I was playing around with.
Jack has been having restless nights. He’s been talking in his sleep. Muttering things that make him wonder if there's something on his mind. If there is someone on his mind. But there's never a name mentioned and so he wonders if he's just paranoid. Or insecure. Or if the reason there isn't a name mentioned is because Jack isn't sure what to call him anymore; because he's Jack here but James then and who knows what before that. He calls him James, but thinks him Jack and he’s sure the name blurs and confuses in his mind till no name escapes his lips and he mumbles nothing in his sleep. He’s sure he needs to believe that.
When Jack wakes it is to find James watching him. James asks. But Jack just smiles, sleepy eyes fluttering closed whilst eager hands pull him closer. He mutter something soft and Jack strains to hear. The words are lost. And he wonders.
