Okay so I love adore sherlock holmes, I think the person who got it spot on was jeremy Brett, and I can certainly see the slashiness but prey tell me where are these fic because you've got me utterly intrigued now *VBG*

The only fics I've really read are by daylyn, but she does write some pretty superb SH/JW slash :D most especially that riding crop porn I wasn't going to look for. Ahem.

Oh my god, yes yes YES! I've been listening to those on Listen Again. The Three Garridebs has definitely been the slashiest so far. The guy doing the little intro beforehand practically told us it was. The bit where Watson gets shot and Holmes is all 'NOOOOOO!' is fantastically slashy!

It's love. It really is. Holmes is such a refined homosexual. A meeting between him and Mark Gatiss's Lucifer Box would be divine (bugger, now the plot bunny's hit. And have any of the Doctors thus far met Holmes?)

XD tonight's was the first one I've tuned into. I was bored and started channel flicking on my digi box and randomly found it just as it was starting.

I'm definitely going to make a point of looking out *that* episode now XD goodness, I do so adore Sherlock Holmes, I don't know why I'm trying to resist the lure of it quite so much!

And what is this 'Lucifer Box'?? I've not heard of that!

Right, The Three Garridebs was on last Wednesday so it's still on Listen Again on the bbc7 website until the end of today.

Lucifer Box? Allow me to exclaim in rhapsodies for the sheer joy of it. There're two Lucifer Box novels so far, written by the one and only Mark 'Lazarus' Gatiss, and a third coming out soon. The first (The Vesuvius Club) is set in Victorian times, the second (The Devil in Amber) during the 1930s and I believe the third will be a James Bond-style work. Mr Lucifer Box is charming and elegant and a spy for the British Empire. He's also delightfully sexually ambiguous and such fun!

One of my favourite chapter endings is: 'Well, what was I to do? For the well-bred gentleman there was surely only one recourse. I fucked him.'

As for this Lucifer Box, I'm suitably intrigued! I'll take a note of the names and see if I can find a copy the next time I'm in town :D the 'delightfully sexually ambigious' part has nothing to do with my sudden interest in reading it either. Muha.

Also, I don't know if you're into Yahoo! Groups (I really wasn't until this one), but if you are, join the Holmesslash group. They are very friendly, encouraging, and write some of the greatest fics (er... they also have this thing with Holmes and squid that I'm not entirely sure how to explain, but it doesn't come up often).

The gropu also reads the stories and discuss the Holmes/Watson subtext in the canon. In fact, I'm supposed to post a canon discussion on Wednesday (must stop procrastinating, must write discussion *sigh*).
